Abstract:
In an era of rapid technological advancement, the accurate monitoring and collection of fuel data within tanks have become increasingly challenging and time-consuming. This is particularly evident in regions like Pakistan, where the absence of automated systems for fuel detection leads to manual processes, such as measuring fuel levels with rods, resulting in incomplete or inaccurate data. It also leads to poor inventory management where sometimes there is no fuel remaining for the next day which results in the pump being closed for the day. Consequently, this manual approach not only compromises precise monthly sales calculations but also elevates the risk of theft. Furthermore, there is no automated system for monitoring and verifying sales and financial operations. To address these issues, this research proposes the implementation of a comprehensive fuel monitoring application called 'PetrolPro360' capable of accurately recording the live quantity of fuel in tanks through IoT sensors where the owner will have access to the application to check the current fuel level. The primary objective is to revolutionize operations at petrol pumps by introducing automation to essential functions such as finance, inventory management, and sales/revenue tracking. Additionally, the system incorporates digital curation strategies to optimize costs. By deploying this advanced fuel monitoring system, owners can safeguard themselves from potential scams in petrol operations. The automation of critical processes not only enhances accuracy but also streamlines operations, providing a robust solution to the challenges faced in the fuel industry, especially in Pakistan.
